SWE-OC offers Graduate and Undergraduate Student Scholarships to students at our local colleges. Scholarships will be awarded at the End of Year Banquet on June 17, 2022. First place $1,500. Second place $1000. Third place $500

SWE-OC collects scholarship applications from both graduate and undergraduate female students studying in the field of engineering.
Scholarship applicants must be attending schools in or surrounding Orange County. Examples of qualifying colleges and universities:
Applicants must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA (Endowed and Undergraduate) or 3.3 GPA (Graduate).
Application submissions open: Early January 2022
Deadline to apply: April 15, 2022
Review Period: mid-April through mid-May 2022
Awards: At our SWE OC End of Year Banquet, June 17, 2022

- UC Irvine
- UC Riverside
- Santa Ana College
- Cal Baptist University
- Chaffey College
- Cypress College

The online application will require a resume, letter of recommendation, personal statement, and transcript. To help students prepare while we are transitioning to our online application, following is more information.
Evaluation will be based on academic performance, work experience, community involvement,
letter of recommendation, and evidence of leadership, motivation, character, and plans to pursue a career in engineering.
Resume - An outline of your work history listed by company name (including all full-time, part-time, co-op, internships, and summer employment), which describes duties and responsibilities for each position held. The resume can also include activities and community service, including leadership roles.
Recommendation: A letter of recommendation by a professor or job supervisor.
Personal Statement: A statement about your career goals after graduation and why you think that you should receive the scholarship award. Statement should not exceed 750 words.
Transcript: An official or unofficial transcript will be accepted.

SWE National Scholarships
The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women admitted to accredited baccalaureate or graduate programs, in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science. In 2019, SWE disbursed approximately 260 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $810,000
