President - Morgan Zandonella

For the past eight years, Morgan Zandonella has been working in the medical device industry with the purpose of developing products that support and save lives. She currently works as an engineering program manager for Medtronic Neurovascular, which makes devices that treat and prevent stroke. Morgan holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obsipo and a Certificate in Management for Technical Professionals from UC Irvine.
Outside of work, Morgan volunteers with SWE-OC and served as the FY22 President and the Outreach Chair for FY21. She coordinated SWE-OC's participation in the annual Girl Scout 2020 STEM Expo and partnered with FIRST California to put on a series of virtual events that informed and inspired the next generation of engineers. Morgan also enjoys volunteering with the Huntington Beach Tree Society and is a member of the HB Community Garden. She currently resides in Huntington Beach with her high school sweetheart and her cat, Erwin.

Rosario Maltbia is a Facility Engineer for Shell in Long Beach, California. During her career, she has worked in the instrumentation & process control industry as well as project management. Rosario holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston.

Treasurer - Jolene Cordon

Jolene Cordon is a Requirements Process Engineer at Rivian. She started her career in the computer storage industry at Western Digital as an intern. After graduating with her B.S. in Computer Engineering she started a full-time position at Pacific Life Insurance Company as a Mainframe Developer while completing her M.S. in Computer Engineering from Florida International University.
After a few years working as a developer, she rejoined Western Digital as a Quality Assurance engineer and eventually moved to Customer Qualification Engineering, handling enterprise customers in the SSD market. With her experience handling customer requirements, documentation, change requests, she moved to Rivian to help build out the requirements process.
Having served as Internal Vice President of SWE-OC in 2022 and Vice President in 2017. She has returned to engage our chapter members as we pioneer out of quarantine and back into our workplaces. She strives to give back what SWE had provided her in her early career with a strong community of talented role-models, mental health resources to de-stigmatize mental illness, and fun!
In her spare time, she is pursuing a Masters of Liberal Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Harvard University. She also spends time sharing her mental health journey to help others navigate their own. She strives to empower everyone to find their full potential - professionally and personally.

Secretary - Dr. Vinita A. Palaniveloo

Dr. Vinita A Palaniveloo is a Senior Software Engineer at Miso Robotics. She has been a member of the SWE since moving to the USA in 2017. As a mother of two boys, she loves to volunteer in STEM activities at school and scouting. She was the SWE Girls scout Chair from 2017-to 2019. She draws inspiration from people around her, and loves meeting people and making new friends. It is the new friendships that helped her thrive in different cities she has adopted as her home away from home.
She loves to meditate, read books, watch movies, and listen to music. She enjoys doing hands-on engineering work and loves exploring new stuff. Her primary interests include retaining women in engineering positions as they go through the challenge of motherhood and raising a family.
Society for Women Engineers is a pivotal organization challenging the stereotyping of women and breaking barriers to celebrate women in STEM. Hence, she is dedicated to volunteering as Secretary of SWE-OC to further the mission of the organization by maintaining society meeting records and providing oversight to the committee chair as needed.
