Kick-Off Ice Cream Social Next Week!
Welcome to FY18! SWE-OC is kicking-off the new year with an ice cream social next Thursday! Get to know your fellow SWE members as we make some ice cream sundaes with an assortment of toppings and dine on our creations! Ice cream and toppings will be provided, all you have to do is come as you are or bring a friend! We will be introducing our new officers and the line up of events we have for FY18.

SWE-OC Executive Council Meeting
Are you interested in getting involved with SWE-OC? We are hosting our first Executive Council Meeting of the year where we plan future events. Dinner will be provided at the meeting. SWE ABJ Leadership Summit 2017
The 2017 Regions A, B, and J Leadership Summit is a weekend long event featuring professional development and training presentations. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss Society issues prior to the Society conference, and give the west coast regions a chance to network in a casual setting. You can find hotel options, registration info, and additional details on the event website.

NASA JPL Mars Rover Expo - SWE Booth
IEEE-OC is hosting an event featuring a NASA-JPL speaker on Mars Rover & Cassini as well as an expo with multiple professional societies! SWE-OC is planning on having a booth at the event, this is a great opportunity to do outreach and network with other societies! If you're interested, please contact our Outreach Director, Lydia McDowell.
When: Saturday, September 16, 2017, 1-5pm (shifts available)

WE17 — the world’s largest conference and career fair for women in engineering and technology. Brought to you by SWE, WE17 will give you inspiring and invaluable ways to connect, discover career opportunities and pursue professional development. Come join a global gathering of more than 10,000 women at all stages of their engineering careers. WE17 volunteer sign up is open and offers a 50% registration discount!
