Dear Ms. Vicki Gaston,
I would like to thank you and the Society of Women Engineers, Orange County Chapter for your very generous award that you gave me in the Orange County Science Fair. I am honored that you considered my entry worthy of recognition. Your support and mentoring of professional woman, and in particular girls like myself, is incredibly encouraging as I embark entering high school. The level of critical thinking which my science fair project demanded has helped me to reach priorities when dealing with scientific projects. I hope to be able to develop this, and although I am as yet undecided on a career path, I do think the opportunities for women in the field of science and engineering are opening wider and wider, particularly with the support of organizations like yours.
Again, thank you so much for the gracious award as it means a lot to me.

Dear Ms. Vicki Gaston,
Thank you for presenting me with the Society of Women Engineers Orange County Chapter Special Award. I feel honored to have been given the award - and I can't help but feel happy when I realize that all the time and hard work I've dedicated to this project over the last year has been recognized. I enjoyed doing my project and the mere completion of it was enough to instill pride within myself. But that doesn't change the fact that it is an amazing feeling to be honored in such a way. Especially by an organization of women I respect so deeply.
Thank you again, for taking the time to speak with me about my project and for presenting me with this award. I had a wonderful time speaking with your judges and I wish you and the rest of the Orange County Chapter of the Society of Women Engineers luck in all of your future endeavors.
