The Orange County Section has developed a 1/2 day workshop where junior Girl Scouts can earn their Aerospace badges. The girls learn how an airplane flies, they build a balsa glider, and then they complete with their gliders in an Air Show. They also learn about women astronauts, the future of aerospace and space inventions that have been converted to uses in our daily lives. The day continues with several videos of space shuttle launches and concludes with building paper airplanes.
Workshops are typically conducted in October and April. Registration is conducted on a first come, first serve basis and fills up fast.
Please contact Dina Stefani for more information and to register.
Please send an email to Dina if you would like copies of the materials used during the workshop.
