President's Message
Dear SWE-OC Members,
The SWE-OC Executive Council has been working diligently to bring you a variety of programs, socials, tours, and more. So far, we met for wine and discussed why we have too few women leaders, got together for dessert at The Melting Pot, and toured Applied Medical’s Rancho Santa Margarita campus, just to name a few!
We have so many great events planned for 2019. We will be touring EnCore Interiors and teaming up with ASCE-OC to tour the Lyon Air Museum. We are hosting the Spring Collegiate Training and Girl Scouts Engineering Day. Finally, we are excited to have SWE President Penny Wirsing coming to Orange County to discuss what is involved in being Society leadership!
This is a great time to make sure your swe.org profile is up-to-date and that you’ve renewed your SWE membership! Membership in SWE has many benefits including access to a strong community and network of women engineers, and resources for education and professional development. Feel free to reach out to SWE-OC, or directly to SWE HQ at membership@swe.org with questions on renewal.
To find out about our latest activities, subscribe to our mailing list and follow us on Facebook and Instagram. If you are looking for opportunities to make a positive impact in your community or to build leadership skills and advance your career, please contact me at president@swe-oc.org to learn more about our many committee positions and volunteer opportunities.
I look forward to the coming year in which we will aspire, advance, and achieve!
Sincerely,
Sally Soltero
